No sooner on my feet than out the door. I'll be reading at Robin's in Philly this evening with Cindy Savett. Then heading to Chicago on Friday for the final leg of the case sensitive tour.
If, in the weeks ahead, you find yourself in Chicago, Iowa City, Lincoln, Tulsa or Norman, OK, or St. Louis (that'll be "The 8 Kates") or Boston or NYC or Binghamton, NY, I hope you'll come out and say hi--I'll be reading with some great people. All the details are here.
I said I would answer my own first-book interview questions. Haven't gotten to it. One thing I'd say about having a first book published is that if you try to do everything that you think your book wants you to do (in order to find whoever would like to read it but doesn't know that yet), you may become a person who doesn't answer a letter for months (for instance)--while meaning to, wanting to, mentally composing it (again!) in the dead of the night. Many things will suffer from neglect, some will need to be abandoned.
I've decided to stop blogging altogether for the time being. If this is your first-ever visit to Every Other Day, thanks for coming. The archives index will take you to my earliest posts (August 2005) and my most recent (January 2008) and all points inbetween. If you're a repeat offender, thank you for having had my blog on your regular route.
