People sometimes tell me that case sensitive doesn't seem like a first book. Part of the reason for that might be that it's actually my second manuscript. My first, Leaving the Old Neighborhood, eventually got shortened and radically revised to become the chapbook Learning the Language, which came out in 2005 from Etherdome Press.
